During the last two decades, growing threat of Islamic terrorism has raised numerous security challenges for both states and non-state actors. Cyberspace is weaponized by actors who conduct malicious activities, in order to achieve their goals. Terrorist organizations reflect darker side cyberspace. Terrorists use cyberspace collect data, raise funds, propaganda, spread radical ideologies hate speech as well purposes radicalization, recruitment operational planning. Social media platforms provide a fertile ground extend ideologies, terror connect with people share same views. ISIS considered pioneer utilizing benefits that offers. The Western Balkans region where recruiting foreign fighters lone-wolves. European Union driving force activation countering cyberterrorism developing relevant strategies.
